Anyone any advice on what to feed her?? shes fed on nutro and is on 1/2 cup in the morning and evening, shes also on protexin because of her anal gland problems. Her problem is she is no way near as active as Bails and mills and even tho she gets less food than them, shes starting to look like a barrel :o Shes really not into exercise, on a walk she will just potter next to us. you throw a ball for her and she toodles off to get it, but then will walk back ::)
Is there any veg that could bulk out her food or are we best putting her on a "light" food, got to be very careful because of her anal glands, i really dont want them to flare up again as she will have to have them removed
So anyone, any ideas, oh and the only treats she gets is 1/2 gravy bones on a walk.

My Bailey is on a diet  She is normally fed on JWB as my other dogs are,but she has put on alittle weight and I have to be careful as she has hip dysplaxia :'( I tried her on the light version but little difference. So I have been to the vet she is on a perscription diet. Its Royal Canin (£20 for 12kg bag ) they have many different diets to suit the dogs requirements (health wise)
Its not to expensive as you tend to need less. My vet does offer weekly weigh in. ( we tend to do this ourselves)
Pedigree do Milky Bones which are low in fat :luv: She loves em. Also carrots and apple for her mid morning and afternoon snack.
I have tried a few foods lighter versions and this has been great for us with good results and a happy dog :luv:
Good Luck with the dieting :luv: Jo Forgot to mention she has abit of cauliflower and broccoli mixed in as well a few times a week
