Decided we need to get a body harness for Dax for walks as he walks well for some of the time but inevitably pulls as well which means he and I both end up getting pulled about a bit eg: when he sets off into the road! (despite my best efforts to keep the lead slack) plus it can't be good for his neck - Can you recommend a suitable comfy harness for puppies please?

Are you looking for an anti-pull harness or just an everyday one to take the strain off his neck? At his age I'd probably go for an everyday one... These are quite good but are not specifically designed for puppies, if you measure him up he may be able to wear a small dog size although then it may not last him long, that's the problem with growing puppies :005: I'd be inclined to buy him a slightly bigger one which is adjustable and see if that works:

We brought one for Gunner from PAH only a cheap one about £6 i think it was as he'll soon grow out of it then when he's fully grown he'll have a decent one but i find it much better than a lead and collar :D

Yep same here. We got a small harness from PAH too. cost £6-£8.
Roxy really pulled alot on walks and so I felt it was safer for us as we had more control of her and safer for her as she couldn't hurt herself with all of the pulling around her neck.
I've found a significant difference since using it. Along with more training with her (walking to heel and on a loose lead which is mainly on the street rather than the park), she now walks alot more nicely without as much pulling. She screams and throws a tantrum :005: when i go to put in on her but once on she forgets about it and is fine :005:..........
I will say though to make sure you get one that fits Dax properly as I have seen dogs slip their harness becasue they weren't snug enough. ;)

The second one down on Nicola's list is the one we got for Indie, size 2. Fleece lined one from Dog Games. Brilliant combined with the Bungee Puppee Lead from the same site. Its stopped Indie from choking and nearly being sick from pulling on a lead collar round the neck. :D

I got this one for Fred along with the lead after being recommended by Jaspersmum on the site!! I cannot recommend it enough- Fred is in a size 2 at the mo but have already bought a size 3 for when he grows a bit more- cost about £10-15 but well worth it!!

I've got the bungee pupee lead size 1 as Indie is only 6.5kg, will probably need to get the next size harnesses and leads though for when she grows. :D

My royal blue harness has arrived today with a leaflet about the bungee lead which is the next thing on my list ;) Dax is flat out at the moment so I will try it on him later when he has had a nap :luv: It looks really comfy :005:

just seen your post - will try to get you a pic tomorrow night - Dax is flat out again just now - he has been a busy boy this weekend :005: He has been wearing it all weekend and it is fab ... much better than the lead on the collar - he is much happier with a harness. ;)
