Title: Cockers eyes
Post by: Lime2008 on February 14, 2008, 08:53:32 PM
Hi Everyone,

I only sent my first post on Tuesday, and have my first question already  :D

Ralph seems to have very bloodshot eyes.  Underneath his pupils are bright red and very watery.  Roxy's eyes are very different, white all round.  I'm sorry if this is a very stupid question and this is normal but I just wanted to check first.  They look sore to me, but he doesn't seem bothered by them i.e he's not scratching them or rubbing etc.

Any ideas or am I overreacting?  ::)

Thanks!

As always, it's best to check with your vet if you have concerns, but many cockers have droopy red eyes, look here:

Excellent! That's put my mind at rest.  The pictures on that post you sent me look exactly the same.

I feel better now - thanks so much for responding!

I remember seeing it the first time with fern - I was panicking  ::)  but she goes like this when she's tired too  ;)  Just keep a close eye on him (excuse the pun)
