Title: Ellie getting spayed
Post by: ladylola on March 03, 2008, 08:00:21 PM
I've booked Ellie in to be spayed on friday. I think she's over her phantom now. Part of me doesn't want to do it cos she has such a beautiful coat. I'm dreading getting  another curly girly.

GOOD LUCK ELLIE..........  Please let us know how it all goes, Lucy is being Spayed in May and like you am worried, but what with change in temperment before her seasons, phantom pregnancies and all the horror that goes with it, i think its best thing..

Anyway all the best

Good luck Ellie for Friday.  Kali will be thinking of you.  Kali hasn't developed a curly coat   Does it take a while?

Kali was done 14th August 2007 and no sign yet. :-\  Having said that, her hair has gone all fine and whispy.  Like bum fluff   Sorry Julie.  Hijacked your thread there ph34r ph34r

I think more get curly than don't  :-\ Nancys coat is different now to when she was spayed, far thicker that is for sure, but but not curly or wolly, I think it depends on what the coat is like to start with  :-\ :-\

Hoping Ellie's spay goes well. :luv:

Took Ellie in at half 8 this morning, Her little face when the nurse took her  :'( I have to ring about 3pm they don't keep them in overnight any more. Think I'm gonna have job keeping Monty off her, he loves her but is so boisterous. Going to have to crate her to keep her safe from his gigantic paws.

I've only just read your thread, I hope will soon be able to go and get Ellie and sorry you've had a day of worry.  When we had Fern spayed we were so upset, but she wasn't too bad - she was in pain for a good few days, but they are all different and hopefully Ellie will be fine.   :-* to you both

Brought Ellie home at 5pm last night. She was looking very sorry for herself, She has her lightshade  :lol2: on. I stayed up with her last night, she was crying a lot. I gave her some chicken and rice, she managed to pick all the chicken out of it. She was much better this morning, has been eating and drinking ok. I've took the buster collar off she hates it, and have put one of my T Shirts on her. I have had to put Monty behind the gate in the kitchen, he wants to play with her but he's to rough poor lad. She has dissolvable stitches and goes back in ten days for a check up.

Glad to hear beautiful Ellie has come out the other side and is lots better!  I think tee shirts are so much better than the dratted lampshade. ph34r
