Title: Neutering Bramble & Beri
Post by: Henshallboys on March 15, 2008, 04:58:57 PM

Bramble and Beri had their little ops yesterday .. I still think 6 months is a little early but my vet who is brilliant says its the best time to do it.

I was expecting the boys to be feeling a little sorry for themselves  :'( :'( but they are no different, bouncing around and wanting to run about etc.  I am having such a problem getting them to rest and having to resort to putting them in their bed cage at intervals to try and make them rest.

I must admit the stitches are barely noticeable and I had been in a panic about them un-stitching each other !! :o

Should I just leave them be and treat as normal........vet wants to see them on Monday tea time for a quick check.

I had Alfie out on his normal walk the day after he got castrated in November because he was bouncing around the house like Tigger on speed. He was a bit sleepy the first night and then completely back to normal the next day. He only had a tiny wound and one stitch and you really wouldn't have known he'd had anything done at all.

Honey is alot better today after her spay yesterday - didnt walk her today, thought I'd let her have some more rest but will be taking her out tomorrow!

She hasn't touched her stitches at all which is brilliant as like you I was expecting her OR Molly to have unstitched them!!

I will just leave them be and keep on the lead when out for a few days.......the vet probably told me they would be ok but I have a problem when I go to see him as he is an extraordinarily handsome Australian and I have to remember that he is talking and not too stare !!!!!!! :005: :005: :005:

Don't tell my hubby why I always volunteer to go to the vets :luv:

They are driving me nuts today.....they are more hyper than ever, Alan is away until tonight and I just cant get anything done without resorting to putting them in their bed cage.  Felt sorry for them last night so left them out of the cage......... >:D >:D bad move......they have eaten my nice coir matting door mat and chewed the leg on my sideboard.

So I think they are fully recovered........ ::) :luv:
