I'd give him a home in a heartbeat but MiLO's home does not make for a 'quiet home'.

Confession!  I haven't been able to get Sparky out of my head since I saw this link, so I phoned up about him yesterday.  After a LOT of conversations last night, I've persuaded/nagged/badgered the OH until he agreed to visit him and we're hoping to go and see him tomorrow!

I told the lady at NAWT about our two cockers and we'll take them along to meet him.  It may be that they're just too lively for him, so we'll just have to see but I'd love to give him a happy home for his last years.  :luv:

I'll keep you posted.

Update: I've just phoned NAWT to confirm that we're going to visit Sparky tomorrow afternoon.  Fingers crossed!

Well, we've just got back from visiting Sparky  :luv:  He's absolutely gorgeous, really friendly and cuddly -  but sadly not for us  :'( 

He met our two and although they seemed to get on really well, I think they're just too boisterous for him at his time of life.  It was heartbreaking to leave him but I'm trying to convince myself that it's in his best interest  :-\. 

The good news is that the lady said a few other people are interested in him, so hopefully he'll find a lovely, quiet home soon.  He's also in a special 'oldies' room at the Rescue, which was reassuring - I was dreading the thought of him being in a kennel on his own.  It was set out more like a comfy living room - complete with a TV! - and he shares it with another oldie.

I'm really sad that we can't help him but hopefully he won't be there for too long  :'(
