Hi Guys
I know it's a bit early to be asking who of you will be attending this one ... but Helen, the Boys oh and Girl will be over for this Show and it's going to be a kinda celebration for me as it is my BIG 40 mid September .... so it would be nice to catch up with my Cocker friends and have a glass of wine and a slice of cake with (or for those that prefer some Guernsey Gache ;) ;) )
So I'm hoping that lots of you will be there to help me CELEBRATE even though it will be a bit early !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Show is being held at the NAC, Stoneleigh Park, Nr Coventry, Warwickshire, CV8 2LZ.
Judging starts at 9am ;) ;)

I think I will try to come along to this show! I've been saying for ages that I want to go to a cocker show! Never been to one before and this one is fairly close to me! It's BIL's birthday though so just hoping OH will come with me to the show in the morning and go see his brother in the afternoon!
Am I allowed to bring one of my cockers along just to watch? Do I have to clear it with the organisers first?!

Quite a big entry from what the recent Champ Shows have had 198 Entries 224 Dogs.
Is the show indoors ??? I went to it many years ago - first time I met Jane S ;) ;) and it was outside in rings with benching tents but looking at the map for the rings looks like we are indoors which could be a good thing with this lovely August weather we're having ::) ::) ::)

Not taking Cockers to this one as I didn't think their seasons would be over so fast! but I will be there with the toller and we are in really early so will come and find you all once we have won our class (visualisation and PMA a go-go) will follow the scent of the alcohol!
Seems that this is in the new KC Stoneleigh bit or am I jumping the gun? it was under cover last two years, and there is an agility bit too if I remember rightly?

Anyone know what time Junior Handling might be held as we want to watch that too?

I've just had a look at the schedule Jenny but can't see if it says a time. The handling classes are usually very well attended, and with the Utility group being judged on Sunday too I would think you'll get to see at least some of the handlers.

Wow, I just read the schedule! I thought it was just going to be a cocker show! Had no idea it was as big as it is!
I was only planning on going for a couple of hours so we could get back for the dogs, but do you think I will need longer than this, it looks like a mini crufts!
Also, with all these different breeds on, what time will the cockers be being shown or will it be accross the whole day?! Want to make sure I'm there for the cockers!

Cockers will be on all day starting at 9am with the dogs and then on to the bitches - there is a big entry (198) so I don't imagine judging in the Cocker ring will finish until mid to late afternoon :blink:

Doh, I hope its not too bad! Stoneleigh is a big outdoor show ground, but the showing goes on in big cattle type sheds and under marquees if I've remembered correctly! When I used to compete in the Agility, that was all outdoors though!

Wendy you and I (I think) usually meet at shows around Bedford, Milton Keynes way. I have the black solid girls Penny and Fidget that I don't show very often as I hate the ringside atmosphere at the moment so I have been showing my Toller (ginger tail waver) for the last year. But always seem to see you and your boys at local stuff. In fact the last time I had the gorls out you won the class at Thetford and I came second to your lovely golden boy.

As Wendy said if there are any COL's there and you spot me please do come over and say hello.
We got back into Guernsey on Monday night and it was a bit of a rough trip back ... the wind had dropped from a 6 down to a 4 but the swell was still very big which made the boat rock side to side rather than up and down ... was very pleased to see the sight of land.
Lovely win for Chelsea and little Lacey ..... you must be very proud of her and rightly so. I bet your Mum is dead chuffed as well.
