Hi
I have just been looking on the opti-gen web site and am a little confused as to how I have to go about it.
Do I need my vet to take the samples and how do I actually go about ordering them.
So sorry if I am being silly about getting my head round it but would really like to do everything right even though mine are working I would only want to breed healthy pups from healthy parents - none of mine will ever leave me not even if the results are not what I would prefer - I just love them all so much.
Thank you in advance

hi i had melody done at a 20/20 blood draw clinic, which was held at a breed show.
there is a list of venues on the optigen website, you pay upfront, send who ever is orginsing it,copyies of your dogs, registration papers, and they send it all off back to america for you. and you just have a nervous wait melodys results were back in 14 days.
or you can do it through opitgen itself, and order and pay online, then get your vet to take the blood sample.
they do have to be microchipped or some other form of identification, and be pedigree, as they need to have a copy of your dogs registration papers. hope this helps. and then optigen can e-mail you the results.

buts its all on the optigen website.

Thank you so much I am just about getting my head round t all mine are micro chipped and ave full working peigrees and all paer work to prove it.
Can I just ask if I fill in the form on-line do I need to book it with my vet and send the samples or do optigen do it for me and my vet sends off the samples for me?
Sorry I think I am being really thick!!!

You can do an online order on the Optigen site , then you print off the form & also the shipping instructions and take them with you when you go to the vet to have the blood samples taken (Optigen also accept cheek swabs now). Your vet will need to read the instuctions first so he/she knows what containers to use etc & also he/she will need to sign your test form. After the samples have been taken, you then follow Optigen's instructions for shipping (customs declarations etc) & post them off. It seems very complicated the first time you do it but it is pretty straightforward as long as you follow the instructions on the website to the letter ;)

Thank you so much I did think it was a little confusing and my vet is very helpful so has also asked one of his vet nurses to look into it for me so we can work round it together I will get organised next week and hopefully get the samples sent off again thank you all very much for all your help :D
