Title: another moulting question
Post by: Toni-UK on September 01, 2008, 06:19:39 PM
Please bear with me,i have never owned a cocker before  :D

Ruby is an 8 month old blue roan and moulting badly, could this be due to her coming into season soon?

what exactly is a "slicker brush"?

And does a coat king give them a close shaven look, like they have had a hooman number no.1 as she has a black fluffy patch on her back which looks like it has been stuck on and different texture from the rest of her hair.

              Thanks in advance  ;)

My blue roan girl was terrible for moulting! And the main reason i said no to another dog for 2 years. I honestly didnt notice that it went worse at any particular time of the year - was bad all year round  :005:

Her black patches were a smoother texture also!  :D

This is a slicker brush http://www.amazinganimal.co.uk/large-soft-slicker-brush-p-1161.html

House dogs tend to moult anytime as warm in summer & winter with central heating.

Indie's 11 months and she hasn't stopped moulting yet and its not small amounts either, its everywhere.  I have to hoover twice, sometimes even three times a day and that doesn't agree with me.
