I dont have a clue when and how you trim a solid cocker puppy up ready for the show ring please please help !

Unfortunately it's difficult to explain/advise over the net as it depends on what the coat is like. Usually it should be ready to start hand stripping from around 6 months but this varies. From a young puppy I would practise trimming the feet, and face and later on the ears & throat. Is your puppies breeder able to help you?

Berties breeder lives about 2 1/2 hrs away from me, Im in Devon and have looked for a breeder down here that would be able to show me what I should do but there doesnt seem to be any solid colour breeders down here and I was told parti`s and solids are trimmed slightly different !

Iv been trimming Reuben's paws, but i often cheat and wait till hes asleep! ;) He also has some funky bits coming out from the sides of his mouth, which im scared to get incase he moves suddenly! :-\

George too is becoming very fuffy (pictures soon), i'm going to have my work cut out to get him to look like Ellie,(she has a different coat all together), like tiamaria i trim his feet when he is dozing on my lap, he's still then, but have started to groom him on a table like i do for ellie as he wants to join in

I usually trim the bottoms of the feet, around the pads but not up in between the toes and then from the top trim around the feet. Hope that makes sense :D
