What does FTCH stand for?
-
I think its Field Trial Champion - I'm sure someone will correct me if I wrong....
-
I may be wrong about this but I'm pretty sure you won't see this against 'Show Type' cockers - just working type dogs. Guess it may depend if someone has managed to field trial a show type successfully though....?
Show type dogs may have a Sh Ch against their pedigree which is 'Show Champion'

Thankyou. Just saw it after a few names on the pedegree list. Hannah, is that a Visla in one of your pictures?
-
:D no, thats my Weimaraner - I rehomed her just over a year ago (although I was looking for a Vizla at the time and only found out about her through a mistake on her description saying she was a Vizla!) and she was called Storm but my son kept calling her 'normous' (as in huge) so she's generally called Norms or Normy now :005:. She's lost 9 Kilo's since she came to us though, so is a lot less
lardy normous now than she was in that pic :005: :luv:
She's complicated but fab :luv:

:005: She's gorgeous! :luv:We were orginally looking for a visla so I still get a bit excited when I think I see one!

Naaaaa she's an ugly old baggage that huffs (a lot) when she doesn't get her own way :005: :005: :luv:

She really is a wonderful dog to own but has been VERY hard work compared with my spaniels and really keeps me on my toes. I'd have another in a flash though, they are so intelligent to work with, wonderful to watch - fast and very skilled hunters but SO loyal and wonderfully gentle and sensitive too. :luv: :luv:
Weims are always silver in colour and Vizzies are always a lovely rusty red/brown colour and generally a bit smaller and more finely built than Weims. 'Bluebell' on here has a very hansom Vizla as well as a cocker and there are a few pics of him floating around this site if you do a search :D

My mum has always wanted a Weimaraner. She retires next year so maybe Darcey will get a Weimy friend to stay with on hols :005:

:005: Actually, she's being very good at the moment and keeps making me fall in love with her far too much :luv: :luv: would you have Dave instead? He's being a complete 'word I'm not allowed to use on here' this week.. the teenage Bandit is back in full force and quite frankly me n Normy have had enough!!!!!! :005: I swear I heard her crying in despair in the garden yesterday after he decided to hang off her nose just one time too many then he charged into the house at high speed, launched himself at me and covered me in mud >:D >:D
