Have just collected my boy Dennis from the groomers, he looks soooo grown up, all clippered and trimmed :luv:The groomer recommended we come every 5-6 weeks to keep him tidy but at £30 a visit, it seems quite expensive, Am I being tight ? :D Think I may have to learn how to do him myself - although I wouldn't know where to start ph34r

Eric goes every 10 weeks. He is usually a right fluffy butt by then but if you groom them everyday I don't think it does any harm.

Worth learning to do yourself ;) With three here, the cost of buying clippers soon paid for itself.

Baja has been done 3 times in a year, although we do get him quite short for the summer.
We just go by sight as to when he needs to be booked in, no real need to book him in until you think he needs a tidy up in my opinion

Depends on the coat, usually between 8-12 weeks.

Jessie goes every 6 weeks ...it keeps on top her coat as she has a wooly texture (she has been spayed) which is awfulto try and groom once long and knotty

I do brush him every day to keep the matts etc away, I guess I meant more the clipping side of things - the groomer wanted me to re-book then and there but I think I'll see how quickly he grows back and then decide when to book in ;)

Our groomer has said on average about 10 -12 weeks but to go by how they look, some need more frequent than others etc

Most of the dogs I trim are around every 8 weeks, some owners prefer them done sooner and some leave it longer to about 10-12 weeks but that usually means a greater job for the dog and me. >:(

we have Tilly done every 9/10 wks, and brushed daily to keep on top of things :D
