She came into season 17days ago and is still bleeding.
Its quite heavy and shes spotting where she sits and on the floor, has anyone elses cocker bled for this long?
should I be worried?

Its a long time since I've had a cocker in season so I can't help. Hope someone comes along soon who can.
Hope she is ok

Brie sounds like Rio! She has been bleeding for virtually three weeks, but it finally appears to be coming to an end.
She is my first bitch and it is her first season and I have been worried, but from talking to other people with bitches it seems they can all vary a huge amount. One friend has a working cocker who bleed heavily for four weeks and she resorted to putting a nappy on :005: (and then got her spayed).
Hope someone will be along later who can put both our minds at ease a little more though.

Just make sure she is ok.....check with the vet.
I ignored Freya's extended bleed, and it turned out to be a pyometra.... (sorry can't even spell it).
Don't think for one minute it will be this in your case....but, just talk with the vet to be sure.
Good luck. xx

Carla was bleeding heavily for 16 days and was off her food but was alright just hormonal!!! We put our granddaughters knickers on her with a hole cut out for her tail and had to change them about 6 times per day - hence she's just been spayed - didn't want to put her through that again as she was most unhappy. Hope Brie settles soon, love Heather xxx
P.S. Carla wouldn't eat James Wellbeloved food again after her season finished, thought it was poison!!! silly madam :005:

I spoke to the vets this morning and they have said its just the way she is and are not worried.
If shes still bleeding in a few weeks or gets a funny discharge they will want to see her but dont at the moment.
I feel much better now

Pleased Brie is ok

Glad that Brie is ok - Misha didn't bleed for long, 7 days at most. Every dog is different, some hardly bleed at all.
