Title: flatulence!
Post by: drika on July 08, 2009, 04:23:46 PM
Splodge is 11 weeks old, eats like a horse! However, she has rather smelly wind(dont know how else to put it). She has been on Wellbeloved puppy lamb and rice kibbles, and she had it then. Gradually changing to Nutro lamb and rice as believe this is a better quality. She also has milk first thing in the morning and last at night, which was recommended to do by the breeder. Should I change her food?

I'm assuming it's cow's milk?  If it is then it is not easily digested by dogs (in effect they lack the enzyme to break down the lactose) so I wouldn't be feeding her that in any great quantity now.

Can cause diarrhoea in dogs  :-\

Puppies, once they are weaned, don't need any kind of milk, just water. ;)
