Over the last few weeks i've been doing a bit of training with harvey, just for a bit of fun and to train my self for as and when we get a worker. We've mostly been practicing retrieving.  I've managed to get him steady to thrown dummies, and then retrieve them. Harvey isn't a a natural retriever so imagine my surprise last night when we bumped into a local who works and breeds his springers, gave him a demo and he said that's exactly how it should be done! Well done harv, your dad's very proud of you!

Haven't seen you for a while although last time we went to Rother Valley at the weekend it was rather busy

Yeah, I was only thinking the same a couple of days ago.  We need to get another meet arranged I think!

We'll have to see what the future brings.  We'd both love a second dog, but we're still torn between a working cocker or a springer...
