Title: Frontline for Tics
Post by: catcmartin on October 06, 2009, 12:05:45 PM
Can anyone tell me do you use Frontline all year or stop applying it in the winter.  I thought I read somewhere that you stopped between November and started again in March.  I just ordered anoth 6 pack so have plenty but just need to make sure I should be using it all year.
Thanks

It depends on your own preference really, there is no set rule on this. I don't preventatively treat my dogs for parasites at all but if I did I would probably only use the product from spring through to early autumn as they're not likely to pick up ticks during the winter.

Thanks Nicola.  I didnt treat Charlie for tics until last year when he picked up his first tick.  He walks the golf course for hours every week with O/H finding golf balls so just need to make sure whether i should be protecting him from tics over the winter.
