We still can't quite believe it, but Inky lives here now! :luv:
On Monday my son and I drove to Cardiff. He hadn't met Inky, and couldn't quite believe what had hit him. In the past, when we picked up the Many Tears and RSPCA cockers, James has asked why we always get broken dogs? ::) This dog is for my kids, who have put up with some difficult pooches! :-*
Inky ticks all the boxes: young, confident, house trained, plays ball, very good at the training class, mostly quiet, but gets excited at the right things. His previous owners have done a smashing job with him, so my thanks go to them if they're reading this!! :D :-*
Tuesday we had lots of walks, and I took him to work. Wed he had his first training class with us. At the class it was quite obvious he’d done training before. He almost walked to heel, did sit and learned down with the clicker in about 3 tries. He was the calmest dog there, and was chosen to demonstrate an activity. James did the handling. As James said, he was the best looking dog in the class!
At home he tried to muscle in on the girls cuddle time, and they just gave in as they are timid little ones. He even gave them a tiny growl to warn them off. He was told no, and put on the floor, and then sat at the end of the sofa, quiet and waiting his turn!
Yesterday he and I had great fun with a ball - (in the house as I'm not letting him off lead for a while yet). :lol2: My daughter spent some time with him and is absolutely besotted!!! He carries his toys around in his mouth! :luv: He talks to you all the time, especially if being stroked or brushed - his vocal range being even wider than my Bonnie, and that's saying something!! :luv: :005: :luv:

Lovely to hear Inky is settling into his forever home so well and so obviously has won over the entire family. Cant wait to hear more about his progress and see pics of all the brood together

We've been for 2 walks so far today, a slow one with Tia and a more energetic one with Peggy, Bonnie and Inky. He was on a very long extendable lead, and so went all over the place chasing leaves! ::) The girls were off as their recall is great, but Inky is much too distractable as yet!
When my kids help me with pics, there will be some. They are enjoying him so much - all I get is chatter about Inky...... :luv:
