Just as I thought we had made it through Christmas without any major food stealing Dennis >:D has scoffed around half a box of chocolate liquers ::) and the wrappers for good measure, He seems OK in himself though he was a bit sick on his walk this afternoon but didn't bring up the wrappers, Should I feed him his normal dinner or something else??

I think because they have alcohol in them and are plain? chocolate, it might be best to take him into the vet so that they can make him sick, if he has eaten them recently they will give him an injection to make him vomit until he brings everything up.
I was just talking about how we haven't had in chololate-eating dogs in the vets this year yet... :-\

I think it was around 1 o'clock - Will phone the vets for advice, he managed to knock the box down while I was upstairs and I didn't realise he'd eaten them till later, Ruby wasn't with him as she was in her crate with a chew :luv:

They'll probably tell you just to keep an eye on him. If it was 3 hours ago and he is still bright, I wouldn't worry. They may ask you to check his gums to see if he still has good colour.
I hope he is ok, and doesn't do that again! :-*

Just to warn you that when Buddy scoffed some Quality Street the wrappers came out in a vomit several hours later, and stained his bed permanantly (especially the purple ones!).
Hope he's ok and that you will manage to replace your yummy chocs.

Must be the year for alcoholic dgos, Taz managed to get a plastic cup out of our bin with some advoca on New Years Eve, there was only a bit in the bottom - he has been fine (although i am not sure whether we would notice a difference if he was drunk!) :005:

A few christmasses ago Ambi sneaked into the kids room and ate a whole tin of celebrations, wrappers and all! She was very sick for a few days and sweets in wrappers came out of both ends!!
Phoned the vet who said just to keep an eye on her and so long as things were 'moving' she should be ok, which she was but it was pretty scary. We now we make sure nothing is left where she can get near it ;)

Hmmmm, yes well, we had a few "sparkly" poos a couple of days ago - and they only ate the empty wrappers (must have smelled really good tho :005: :005: :005:
