The boot I ordered to protect Rufus's rear paw, where he has sliced off part of the large pad yet again, arrived this morning. I have failed dismally to get it on it a manner which is Rufus proof. Three attempts and it was bitten and removed each time. He even tried to take it and make off to the garden with it. So he has gone out again without any protection. Am I missing something? Does anyone have a fail safe , cocker proof method of covering a saw pad? Please?

When my Bracken had a sore back foot we used large bandage then a sock which we taped above the joint it work well. When we wanted air to it put on his lampshade :'( he didn't like that option to much.

Thanks all. DS took him out this pm, and he doesn't let him off the lead.(oh ye of little faith) Apparently there was no three legged walking and he was up to his usual tricks, so I might put the boot episode down to experience!
