Most of the time Bobs poo is very loose he is 4 years old
I did feed him on hills SP but have changed to JWB
I changed very gradually so as not to up set his tummy
He has two meals a day one at about 8.00am and one at about 6.00pm
He also has some chicken or a little veg with it
And he has a bonio at lunch time and some gravy bone if he has been good. I have added some bran into his food, but that dose not make much difference. His glands are empted regally by the groomer.
they are looser if his has been out for a run or walk.
But on the whole they are always loose.
Should I try yet a different food. Or is this just the way he is

Try giving him some pro-biotic yoghurt. Activia, any flavour, can be bought from most supermarkets and is inexpensive. It was recommended to me by a vet and worked wonders on Nelly who used to suffer from colitis a lot. I now use it as a preventive for the dogs I have now. I give them about a tablespoonful every day & we never have runny poos.

If he always has runny poos, it could be his food. Duggie isn't able to eat JWB, as it makes him very loose, but he is a lot firmer on Burns.
It could be worth (gradually) changing Bob's food again. :D

Indie was like this and then i changed her to Burns and it went the other way and she seemed to be very hungry, JWB was too rich. She is now on Arden Grange sensitive (silver packet)
Another thing I have discovered is that it suits her indigestion to feed her once a day at about 4pm. Her long walk is in the morning and honestly (its taken 2 years to get it right) but her poos are perfection. :005: I know it certainly wont suit every dog but it works for us.

i am and have given him some of the Activia, in his dinner last night,
if this dose not help then i will have to look at changing his food again
i am not sure what to change it to

Roly suffered from the same problem when he was a pup, and any type of dog treat biscuits didn't help at all. He was worst on Burns, so then we switched to JWB Junior fish and he was much better on this (and not treats), but when we went onto the adult version it started all over again. I switched him onto Chudleys and he was good on that, but was conscious that it wasn't the best food around and eventually switched him to Arden Grange Lamb & Rice - haven't looked back. Poos are always firm and we have been able to introduce a few treats as well without any ill effects. I think partly that he has grown out of it, but occassionaly he will have a treat that will upset things - Bonios are definite no for Roly.
I would suggest Arden Grange.
