My Stevie came into season at 7 months.  She had a clear discharge for a few days and then the blood started  >:( She was quite messy in the house and she did have a distinctive smell about her  :005: It was quite obvious that she was in season. I also have her litter sister and have never really noticed her being in season  :-\ but as her sister was in season I thought she may be too and so looked at the obvious and she was quite swollen underneath (IYSWIM) but no blood at all. When I mentioned this to the vet, he said that some bitches keep themselves very clean and others (like Stevie  >:() don't.
I would keep a close eye on Jet as she is at the age when she could be having her first season and she may be keeping herself very clean but she would still be swollen underneath IYSWIM.
Perhaps someone else will be more helpful and offer you better advice.  :D

Misha didn't have any discharge that I noticed before she started bleeding, but did afterwards.  She did have a distinctive smell aswell - not pleasant.  I remember spraying her with bitch spray only because the citronella smelt better  :D
