Poor Lucy has hurt her pad. It isn't deep it's more like a burst blister if that makes sense. The sore is about a 4mm circle that is a couple of mm deep :'(
It only seemed to bother her at the end of her walk and I thought that might be because of the grit and salt on the pavements? Anyway back to the point I have showered her paw (well all her paws, her ears and her mouth because she ate fox crap on her walk :020: ) and I have just got back from buying Hibiscrub from the Chemist. My questions are...... do I dilute the hibiscrub? How many times a day should I wash her paw with it? Should I restrict her walks? Or will she be ok with a sock taped over her paw? Oh and also why did the chemist come through from the back look at me and then ask what size hibiscrub I wanted? He didn't ask anything else, I found it bizarre ::) ::)
TIA
Em x
PS her breath still stinks, any suggestions there :005:

poor little Lucy :luv:
I usually just pour a bit in a bowl of warm water - very unscientific ::) I think 1 part Hib to 10 parts water would be fine...and you could use it on her chops too just in case it's lip folds and not breath :lol2:
I would still take her on walks with sock and tape if she will be ok with that - and maybe slather some vaseline on their paws before they go on pavements just in case it's the grit/salt that's affecting her ;)
as for size you can get in massive quantities so I reckon your vet may have a huge container that he's decanting from :lol2:

No she definitely has bad breath as I caught her eating fox poo :020: :020:
It was the chemist I got the hibiscrub from I just thought it was a bit odd that he felt the need to come and look at me before he got some from out the back. It was an individual bottle when it came ::)

Either that or I was going to use it before piercing both my cheeks and splitting my tongue in half or something :005: He must have lacked judgement if he decided I must be normal :005: So can you actually drink hibiscrub ;) ph34r
