Sorry, I am sure this comes up often but have tried searching... Freddie is 4 months old and still on 4 meals - first one when he gets up around 6-6.30 then 12-12.15, 4 and 8pm. Is he OK to go to 3 meals now? I assume he should still have the same amount but split into 3 meals?

Poppy is 15 weeks and went down to three meals last week. Yes we just split the same amount over the three meals and she is doing fine. She was eating at 6am, 10am, 2pm and 6pm. She now has 6am, midday and 6pm and she is happy enough.

Puppies usually let you know by going off one of the feeds themselves- I find the last one of the day is usually the one they go off first. My 4 month old has gone from 3 to 2 in the last week-same amount split.

Thanks. Thinks I will go to 3 now.

Kira is 15 weeks (lab) and cut her last meal out several weeks ago - she doesnt seem that bothered about one at lunchtime either - she will eat it but is very easily distracted in comparison to breakfast and evening meal.

My Autumn would eat 6 meals a day given half a chance and sometimes she sneaks in with my litter and eats theirs too! And she's 23 weeks :005:

I was thinking that same question...thanks
Bracken is on 4 meals a day - and doesn't seem to be going off any of them!!! I'm assuming that it does no harm to keep her on 4 a day until she decides herself -or it suits my timings
She was weighed on Saturday for her worming dose - 8.9kgs
