Post by: angie68 on March 15, 2010, 11:21:36 PM
Hi i hope someone can help with some info as i'm looking for any companion shows around essex/kent as Connie has not been shown at all.
I would love to go along to a show but am not sure if all dogs are welcome or if it is just dogs that are trained for showing.
Msny Thanks
Angie

So are we, but if it is raining won't go just getting over chronic bronchitis so don't want to get soaking wet.     I am starting a HTM course with them next week, hoping I am fit enough to go.   Might see you on Saturday with the handsome Bob.

I'm in South Ockendon and found that one last night on a different page.  I was all happy and set to go and husband announces today he needs a lift on sat over to friends in kent.  I will hopefully try to sort something out as i would love to go.
Please keep me in mind if you know of any other local shows.

I am sure Bob will do well on Saturday, he is such a handsome lad :luv:  I think Jessie might be flirting with the handsome boy :luv:  I am trying to persaude OH to enter Dylan in best Veteran or dog over 7yrs old.     I  think we should have another meet-up but not had time to sort out some details dates and places etc.

Do you know what the forecast is for Saturday?

I went on a meet up about two years ago and have'nt been able to make another, i also was'nt online that much but hopefully i will make the next one.
I've checked a five day forecast which says light rain.
I will definately fo the the Barleylands one, we are meant to be decorating my daughters bedroom but i think i will escape out and let oh get on with it. :005:

The one at Barleylands and it is an open show
entries for the dog show have now closed.  This is an Open Show, held under Kennel Club Rules and Regs, so dogs are not allowed to enter on the day
only dogs entered in the Show are allowed so you can not take your dog there for a day out
it may be worth a look though.

That's a shame thought about entering Jessie for that one in a novelty class and letting grandson who is nearly four having a go but me with him, never mind. Might go along to have a look at the doggies showing

oh what a shame i was definately going to go to barleylands, especially as i've just found out tonight my daughter now has a party invitation for saturday so that means i can't go saturday now.
How early do you have to get registered for the shows and are they all like that.

I am not sure i have never put Bob into a show before so its all new to me as well
i think if it is a companion show you just turn up on the day and join in
with an open show its a bit more involved most of the dogs have been to ring classes
and there are a lot more rules and regs to follow,
dose any one know what the open show procedures are Like dose the dog have to be entire
 have a full pedigree ???
