Title: Can clicker training be used to stop biting?
Post by: blueroanlover on March 25, 2010, 04:42:06 PM
Hi, as many of you know I have posted here before about our pup's constant and excessive 'play' biting. He is 4 and a half months old now; it is not improving but getting worse. One behaviourist said it was borne out of frustration but it doesnt seem to be - he starts as soon as he wakes up!

Is there anyway a clicker could be used to train him not to do it?

Thanks for any advice. He picks most other things up very quickly, both clicker oriented and non clicker oriented.

Try this http://www.clickertraining.com/node/168

It appears that the answer to your question is yes. I would highly recommend this site for all things clicker training.
