Title: Unconditional love
Post by: Macy and Tia on April 10, 2010, 10:46:50 PM
Macy absoloutly adores my OH, if we're home she waits by the back door for him, if we're outside she waits  at the end of the drive, she just cant settle until he's home. If he just glaces at her, her tails wags, its definatly true love  :luv: :luv:
Is anyone else the same??

My girls both adore me, Violet only has to look at me & her tail starts wagging.  Pansy's tail has been docked, so it's not quite as obvious when she wags her tail, she does wag when she looks at me, but not as much as Violet.

It's funny because this time last year, I still had Dillon & Nelly and had no idea that I was about to lose them both. I certainly could never have contemplated loving two different dogs as much as I loved Dillon & Nelly, but I do  :luv:.

All the dogs love it when we have visitors and pay them a lot of attention, but when it comes to settling down for a snooze they prefer to be with me.  My mum was staying for a few weeks and while they loved having her to stay, all the dogs would end up next to me on the sofa for their cuddles (even the cats too).

zoe adores me also to the point of stalking. She will quietly sneek up inbetween who ever I am sitting with and politely shove them over  :luv: :luv: OH gets a bit jealous becasue if im there no one gets a look in  :luv:

I cannot go anywhere at all without my two little 'bridesmaids' (strictly speaking one bridesmaid and one pageboy ) as they are with me all day every day, UNTIL my OH is around at weekends or in the evenings - when Louis decides he need Quality Bloke Time.  I regularly catch sight of them together doing 'Man' things like peering down our temperamental drains, marching up and down as OH cuts the grass or doing the weekly check of tyre pressures - absolutely hilarious

Connie is a mummy's girl.  I am with her most of the time and if i go out they know when i've pulled up outside as she goes and waits and then they hear the car door go so they think she knows the sound of my car.  She also cries if i'm upstairs and she's downstairs even if everyone else is downstairs.  We joke that she's my stalker.  I love having her as my stalker.  (At least someone loves me)  :005:

Yep, one stalker/velcro dog here  :D

I was painting my mums garden fence this arvo and my mum said 'that dog's standing behind you and it's tail hasn't stopped wagging'  :005:  So even when I'm not looking at her Tiffany's there.  My little stalker  :luv:

I love Gizmo and she loves me  :luv: No debating it. he is ok wihout me, a little melancholy but if I see her again after 5 minutes or 5 days she goes absolutly loopy, the only thing that changes with the duration of the absence is how long she stick to me like glue after the inital excitment. Wherry is certainly her Dad's dog too. She will sit by the door and wait for him  :luv:

Well, put it this way...I've never known unconditional love until Chloe came into my life  :luv: Having said that, she does sometimes act as if she loves birds and sheep much more than me  >:( :005:
And as for Uncle Mickey, well she absolutely adores him, he only has to go the loo and she greets him when he returns as if she hasn't seen him for yonks. Whenever he's here, she wants to be sitting on his lap, and he gets far more kisses and cuddles than I do.  She loves going to his flat and makes herself right at home.........but.......guess what....if I try to leave her with him, she howls the place down, she's definitely a Mummy's girl really  :005:

:005: :005:

So true with Harvey too!! :005:
He's definitly a mummy's boy, however he would happily risk his life jumping over the side of a cliff to chase a bird or ball! >:( :005:

Bailey is very much a mummy's boy - which i think annoys OH a wee bit as he likes to think Bailey listens to him!  ph34r
If i try and sneak out the door even to the toiley he's there. He's sitting in the bathroom if i'm in the shower, lying in his chair when i'm drying my chair and sitting on his couch whiile i'm ironing - all the things someone else woule be arrested for!  ph34r If i walk by he wags his tail, if i mention his name in passing he wags and if i look at him he wags!  :luv: He also absolutely adores my sister as she baby talks him and gives him lots of cuddles  :luv:

Mine are both Mummies girls!  My OH works away alot, so they settle easily if he's not at home.  OH reports that if I'm out late, they pace, whine, stare at the door....  :luv:

Got three cocker shadows.......

I love it most of the time, but sometimes I feel so sorry for them.  They will be huddled up asleep, and the minute I move, they jump up and follow.

Only wish they were like shadows for 'recall'........ that's when I wish they would follow.... :005: :005:  Getting better though.

Maybe thats it...........................when out for a walk, when we want them back, we should start walking away, saying "don't move, I'm just going for a wee"  :005: Guaranteed to get them following, though probably best not to pull your trousers down at this point!!!!! :005: ;)

Off for a walk after lunch, so gonna put your idea to the test.  Let you know if it works.

Marlo is definitely a mummy's boy, he's constantly shadowing me, even when snoring and seems fast asleep as soon as I try to move, he's up........ He will quite happily watch the others come and go, indoors and out but not me.........he knows when I'm getting ready for work, he guards the front door and watches me like a hawk.......yet like others when out on his walks it's a very different story  ph34r

my lola is definatly a mummys girl, my oh gets home before me after work and although lots of cars drive past our house she always knows when her mummys car arrives home. She suddenly sits up and jumps on the sofa arm by the window whimpering and wagging her tail.

Dodger on the other hand is everyones dog! as long as your showing him attention or giving out hugs he will be there!

Meg might be a grumpy old mare but she does love us all, her little face lights up when we come in and her tail wags like mad most of the time. Shes just not got that 'unconditional love' for Alfie yet :011:. I love her so much though. Alfie just has unconditional love for everybody and everything. He is especially soft for me and my mum though and will have a snuggle anytime, anywhere. He is just always there when you look round :luv: whereas Meg isnt really a follower and would much rather just stay put :005:. Alfie has been an angel pup  so i think that has allowed us to really appreciate his love for us all and ours for him. They just have so much love to give dont they :luv: :luv: :luv:. Ooooooh what would we do without them :D xxx

Dylan's a mummies boy. I think its mainly because for about 6wks (ended a week ago) it was just me and him at home (plus rabbits) as my other half was away training for his new jon..

When my OH's parents pick him up for the day and drop me off at my work, it really is heart breaking as he just looks out the back window watching me go with those gorgeous puppy eyes he has. Also, if my OH walks him to work with me, when it comes for me to go - he constantly pulls in my direction, walking kinda backwards too, until i've disappeared. He'll also sit on the top step of the stairs (infront of stairgate) if i'm upstairs, even if my OH is dowstairs, sometimes even calling him. Also, if my OH lets him out his crate, he'll run straight to me ignoring my OH.

Well i think Macy is more for my OH because he took her to work with him when she was a puppy until she was about 2 years old, but once my OH is home she follows me around the house but when he's at work she waits by the back door for him, once he's home she's fine then, it's as if she's got to have us both home for her to be settled  :luv:
Tia's for both of us as when we had her as a pup we where both at home alot, i think it's definatly to do with who they're with from a young age, they're a strange lot arnt they?  :005:

Hamish is a mummy's boy. He will follow me round the house and will even come to the loo with me and if I close the door he pushes it open with his nose!  :005:

He wags wheh OH is around too but has to be sitting on the sofa with me and sleeps on my feet.

I love it "stalker/velcro dog" fits Tucker.   :luv:  His tail is also docked and he's got a serious case of cocker wiggle butt when ever he's around me.  There are times when I swear he bends right in half he gets so excited.  I can not leave a room without my cocker shadow being right there and he is less stalkerish and more velcro about it.....must always be touching!  I have tripped over that dog more times than I can count and he just bounds right up again and reattaches.   :D
