A few of you know of my recent search for a new working cocker dog pup, have come across a litter in Devon and am going to have a look tomorrow :lol2: Very excited, will take some picks if I find The One. Unlike the issues I have been having with a breeder asking me to choose too early, these are eight weeks on thursday :o Not ideal but if I am happy with everything, may have my new little man at the weekend. Will post pics tomorrow and let you know ;)

Good luck, fingers crossed for you.

That would be very exciting!! Cuts out all the agonising waiting for the pups to be ready at 8 weeks :005:

It's not essential you meet the pups before 8 weeks, although preferable. I met Keli the day before he came home at 13 and a half weeks. I did meet Tali at 4 weeks but to be fair he just slept on my shoulder mostly and squeaked. Ideally one should meet your chosen dog every week but hey if you find the One, the bond will be there so don't fret. Looking forward to seeing your pics :D

Well....... Ive just put a deposit on my new pup Harvey :lol2: Hes a gorgeous liver chap with a white chest and splodge on his bottom lip :luv: unfortunately my old school camera has been having major disagreements with my new laptop >:D and so will have to wait til I visit mums on friday to upload them :'(
He comes home monday! Its all happened in a bit of a whirlwind but I was really happy with the breeder and met both mum and dad. They were both gorgeous and super friendly. I had a choice between two lads, both chocolate, one was a bit of a porker though very sweet, and the other was Harvey :luv: He was also very loving but a lot more active, playful and inquisitive, much better suited to Freya (I hope).
Only issue is the food they are on :-\ Purina Beta Puppy Lamb and Rice. Fine I thought til I looked at the ingredients in Pets At Home, primary ingredient- CEREALS!? Im no expert but thats not good right? I will be switching him to Burns asap.
So happy and so excited, cant wait for Freya to meet him, shes going to be a very happy pup :lol2:

That sounds lovely news, just one word of caution - (hope you don't mind and already having a dog, you will probably know anyway), if you do decide to change his food, try not to change it too quickly as that can cause tummy upsets too (even good ones if introduced too quickly ;) )
I had Smudge on Burns puppy, which really suited him - so when I bought Katie home thought she would love it too - she did, but sadly it did not suit her.

Yeah thanks for the advice, I will be doing it slowly, anythings got to be better than that nasty stuff, I dont see how a dog food can be mainly cereals and calling itself healthy! I hope he is good on Burns as it keeps Freya in great shape
