I've never been able to double quote so that it shows the name of the person you are quoting. But you can with the first quote showing the name and the second on just as a quote but kinnda looks anonomous.

Is this what you'd like to do, if it is i shall write tomorrow to explain, if it's not
I won't waste anyones time

:) Thanks Curtiso, I was thinking of those where the two posts are together - a box within a box - if that makes sense  Sue x

You can quote within a quote but not as far as I'm aware have the two posters names, the outer box will have the name but not the second one (I think!)
But quotes generally can be nested over and over just by using the quote 'code button' and adding again inside that first quote.
quote 1quote 2quote 3
The actual code for that above would be:
quote 1
quote 2
quote 3

:) Stuart - I'm a bit dim sorry ! I usually click the quote button which is shown to the right of the post and this then takes me to the message screen and the quote is shown.
But if I want to reply someone else's post also how do I then pick up their quote so that a double quote is shown before my message.
Sorry I'm useless at explaining, hope you understand

Sue, I'd be interested to know how these clever clogs do it too, but what I do is click on the initial quote and then scroll down to where the other posts already made are shown and then copy & past any further comments and then 'wrap' that with the quote button.
Hope that makes sense

similar to michelle,
Quote as normal
scroll down to the other post you want to quote from, highlight the section ans copy it (right click over it and select copy).
In the quoted post box below your new message, Type in [ QUOTE] then paste your text (right click and paste) then type in [ /QUOTE] to finish
Try this and it should work
I have had to put in a space after the [ otherwise it shows it as a normal quote
so the closing quote should look like this
and the opening quote should look like this

Oh I'm useless !!! - Have managed to get two messages in one quote and two seperate boxes but still can't get one box inside the other
Thanks Michelle and Curtiso for your help ! x

think, what you have done is one normal quote, then put the copy and paste quote the top white message box. whereas you need to put it in the actual Quote white box below.
Not sure if I have mad it worse there.. :D

I'm afraid - but would be interested to find out .
how it's done
Just testing - I've never managed to do this yet.
Think I've worked it out now. Didn't realise you had to drag the quote.
