Well my OH has just phoned me at work to say that Albie has been sick this morning and has started to come out in lumps on his face and eyes swelling so off to the vet he has gone... and I now wait patiently by the phone.
Not sure what the foreign object he brought back up his though it is hard with like a fur round it - maybe a nut or something

They have been out in the woods so assume it was picked up there - anyone any idea?
-
Ooo is it an owl pellet?
steffxxx
-
I do not think its an owl pellet(but could be)...As it normaly has feathers and bones with in the pellet...Unless you can open it up and see inside better...Chris

Peach stone?
-
Oh dear - no idea what that could be - Does not look Tasty though lol
I hope that the wee one is going to be ok - Much :luv: :luv: :luv:

Just had a call from OH and its a mango seed, so quite close MaggieR
He obviously has picked it up on a walk, he has had a steroid injection and swelling started to go down, thank goodness
-
:o at least you now know what it was that was eaten...
Hope Albie soon feels much better :luv:

I hope Albie feels better very soon, poor love :luv:
I think it's good news that he brought it back up as it could potentially cause a nasty blockage if still inside him as it would be undigestable :o
-
Really pleased the meds have kicked in and the swellings going down... hope he's feeling much better :luv:
-
Hope Albie's feeling alot better. :luv:
Crumbs not very often you see mango stones lying around. Just as well he brought it up before it caused any damage
-
Thanks all
I am relieved he bought it back up to be honest as it was about 2 inches in length and an inch wide so I think had it have worked its way down further would have led to a much worse scenario. He is a little monkey for picking things up but doesn't normally swallow anything.

I haven't seen a mango stone for a long time, forgot they were that big to be honest I get mine already cut up from the supermarket it's much easier:blink:
It must have been really tasty for him to swallow it, if he doesn't normally do that but thank goodness it didn't go any further. :D

Glad you have it sorted..mago stones are very big in size and no dowt would have cause some damage to we mite...
