Post by: Sarah1985 on September 16, 2011, 06:33:17 AM: Slightly off topic but If you want to further your sniffing exercises pam mckinons workshops are brilliant. They,re Brilliant for building trust between you and your dog. I've been to two now and my dogs absolutely love it.

This one is brilliant but I'm pretty sure i didn't pay this much for it. It's one to keep an eye out for.

This one is also quite good but contains more theory and less activity ideas than the fun games book.

Just read this one, gives me somewhere to begin i.e. collect some boxes! Will look into the books too, thanks for your help :blink:

Post by: Jessie_Pup on September 16, 2011, 07:58:04 PM: Have just started tracking with Dylan. Although he has cataracts he coping very well. He might be a bit slower than some of the other dogs. He always finds his man at the end of the track. ;) I am cetainly getting fitter with it.

We also have the Smellorama book and I found the theory stuff fascinating :) There is a lot packed into it for a thin book. That said, I haven't got the Fun Nose Work book so not sure how it compares - added to my wish list.

Post by: riotous_uk on September 17, 2011, 10:38:08 AM: Anyone near Wakefield that fancies a go, I'm runing a scent day on 19th Nov - looking at various types of seraching (i.e. detection dog, search and rescue and working trials search squares). Dogs must be sociable, toy made, pref like playing tuggy and handlers to pref have experince of clicker training. There are only 3 working slots left
