Hi all!,
Woody is our new puppy, he's 11wks now & we've had him 3.
We've found this forum to be a valuable resource for advice for the issues we're facing so thanks to all contributions.
We're first time dog owners & it's good to have some re-assurance that we're doing the right things with him.
He can go for his first walkies this week & we can't wait
& yes, our lives are now upside-down! ... but it's worth it

Hello and welcome to COL from Barnsley. Woody looks a sweetheart :luv:
Odie is my 1st family dog (but have had dogs within the family for years) and I found having a pup 10 times harder and more emotional than having my 2 daughters! COL helped me through some tough (and messy ph34r) times and it's nice to know that there nearly always will be someone who has experienced one thing or another on here ;)
Enjoy the forum.

Hello and welcome,
I'm Rosie and I have 2 young show type males, Charlie & Dexter who I love to bits. I've found this site invaluable, especially during my panic moments during the early puppy days.
Enjoy your pup while he is little, they really do grow up fast ;)

sweet girlie is Ellie the light blue
showtype :luv:she's our first cocker
(although we've had dogs before)

I've had a spaniel before but never a puppy, I joined so I could ask some nice basic beginner questions (without feeling stupid) and people keep posting pics of their 'babies' so I've had to stay hehe.
Welcome to the forum...
My life before getting Charlie was ... well I could go somewhere alone, I now have constant company in the bathroom and in the shower...he used to try and dig me out of the shower; now he sleeps outside the shower door so I get trapped inside. If I leave the room he's there; all of my clothes are covered in his fur...but he's worth it :luv:

Hi Jamie and Nicola and puppy Woody.
This forum has been a godsend for me as another first time owner. I have a little Blue Roan Show Type Cocker Spaniel who will be 8 months on the 17th and her name is Betsy. My life has changed, but for the good, she is the reason I get up in the morning and I love having her shadow me. I did have a 15 year old cat called Micka, but I had to pts her because of difficulties with her Diabetes. I sooo miss her still, but Betsy has got me through the loss.
I hope you have as much fun as I do with Betsy. She is soooo good and really funny too. :005:

We took our first walk, he played off his lead, met some other dogs, people & ducks! Had a wonderful time - so exciting (he's having a well earned nap now)
Lead training next :005:
