hello everyone,
my name is Mick and in a few weeks i will be picking up my Cocker pup. I cant wait! Ive not owned a dog for nearly ten years and the decision to own another has been discussed between my wife and i on and off for a couple of years now. But i think we we were finally swayed by my 7 year old daughter who ever since she could talk has wanted a puppy.
Ive gone for a working strain dog as although he will be a family pet i would also like to train him a little to retrieve as i shoot a fair bit. Ive added a pic of little Louie at only four weeks old. Hes a little cracker :D

Hello and welcome Mick! You're right, he is a cracker :luv: Odie is our 2 year old golden show boy. Hubby and I waited until our 2 daughters were over 5 before we got him and it's great to see them all playing together :luv: Enjoy the forum, lots to read and join in on. Lesley

He looks like a good healthy chunky pup on that photo.
I bet these few weeks wait will be killers.
It was 12years since we'd had a dog before we got our puppy and I tell you it's lovely to have a dog again.

Hi and welcome! You will find so much support on here as I did myself when we got Clover, our first dog in over 15 years, back in July. I expected a bumpy ride, and there were times in the early weeks when I wondered if I had done the right thing, :005: but mostly she has been a little star  and I can't imagine not having her now. She makes me smile a million times a day! I'm looking forward to seeing more pics and hearing all about little Louie when you get him!
