Title: Itchy ears

I noticed the other day that amber was scratching her left hand ear and moaning like it was giving her some kind of relief. She has been doing this now for a while so i brought some johnsons ear cleaning wipes because it did look dirty inside...
I cleaned it out as far as i could but she it still itching it quite allot.
Does after some advice really on what it could be ?? maybe we need to have her ear cleaned out ?
Strange thing is her one ear was really dirty and the other one is really clean.
Hope someone can help

The vet told me that I must use Clean Aural ear cleaner every week for life as otherwise we could end up with a problem ear. He didn't actually say what it was (can't believe I don't ask the right questions at the time!) but she didn't need to have to have any procedure/ear clean out at the vets.

Just doing a little research and i think it could be ear mites, the residue in her ear is dark and it does smell a little,
Does the johnsons power kill mites as well as cleaning them ?
