Just wanted some advice please , ozzy is well over due his haircut , he usually goes to the groomers , but because of his neck problem I am not sure I should take him ( even though he is so much better now ) so I am thinking should we try and do him our selves ?? we have the clippers , but it's the paws I'm worried about doing

what worries you? does he not like his feet being touched? or just how to do the paws?

Both really Kelly , :D he doesn't like them being touched but I think he would tolerate it , when he comes back from the groomers u can see every toe , just wondered what to use in his paws ?? he's looking like he has fur boots on at the moment :lol2:

have a read through this thread ... http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=3223.0 (http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss/index.php?topic=3223.0)
there are some pics and it's quite good thread with explanations.
Personally I used a combination of scissors and clippers.. primarily straight scissors though
I put their foot flat on the table and cut down the foot towards the table, kinda all the way around.
Sometimes to do the bottoms of the feet I lie the girls down as I find it easier and they don't 'twitch' as much when it tickles :)
Once I've done that I bring all of their feathering flat against their leg and trim it so that it is longer than their leg, to stop them getting so muddy - looking at your pics of Ozzy though he's shaved all over, so you probably won't need to worry about this bit :)
Favourite treats are always a good bribe - my older 2 have only just been introduced to the clippers, so plenty of bits of tuna cake were required at frequent intervals :)
