Post by: star quest on February 29, 2012, 08:28:44 AM
I want to show my cocker girl,i have been grooming her everyday and have started taking out her fluffy coat and trimming her feet,
im not sure how much i need to do for a pup, will they expect her to still look very puppy at 6 mnths or should i take as much off as possible and ears stripped etc..

Hi

Good luck with the showing, they will still expect her to look like a puppy at 6 months so don't take too much off.

Just strip out what will come out, as long as her feet are well trimmed and she looks tidy don't worry too much, personally I love to see the fluffy babies in the ring. Good luck :-)

Her coat will come when its ready...I show my girl and she was a huge full ball until 11 months. Is she a Solid or Parti colour

I agree, try to strip her back if it will come out easily. If not do not force it, simply tidy up the feet and take whiskers off. At that age they should still look fluffy  :D

Have you handstripped before?
