We have a 3 1/2 year old Cocker called Molly, She was Spayed at about 9 months. Recently she has taken to standing under a dining room chair and licking the air. She especially seems to like it if a coat is hanging over the back of the chair and is touching her back.
Any Ideas why she may be doing this?

Is she not tickling herself ? We have a boerbul that does this under plants and she is tickling her back :) She finds a bush with leaves that just reach her back and then creeps bacwards and forwards in slow motion with the leaves just touching her. In between bouts of tickling she'll stand and lick the air. Its too funny to watch but she loves it:)

Sound the same sort of thing, the licking the air though gets a bit annoying, but, she doesn't seem bothered by whatever it is

Our cat does this if you scratch low down on his back.... just licks the air.... looks very strange :005:
