Title: Oranges and ring around base of tail
Post by: Clare B on May 25, 2012, 01:54:44 PM
I have noticed, since we've had our orange roan ( show type) that most orange roans have a orange ring around the base of the tail.  Is this something that is bred into the colour as a show requirement?

Not sure, but Penny is an orange roan, and has a blob (but doesn't go all the way round) of orange at the base of her tail.

No it's not a show requirement but there is often a band of colour at the base of most particoloured Cockers' tails - it's rare to have a totally white or roan tail (although they do exist)
