Title: under the weather
Post by: Chocolate Hero on July 12, 2012, 10:07:36 PM
This weeks turning into a right off. Jethros under the weather since he stayed with friends last weekend, hes tums upset not massively just enough for him to be unhappy, accidentally made our friends feel bad when i checked if hed eaten anything he shouldn't have (only had a bit of cat food & adult dog). Im assuming its the mix to his normal diet. Hes just generally not been him self, cant put finger on what it is. Hes being clingy & winey which he never normaly is.  & to top it off hes pulled a muscle when out of his walk (fell over his own feet playing with his ball).

Im wondering if it could be his teeth as hes got a lot coming though and seems to be loosing them as quick. Do dogs feel like toddlers when there adult teeth are on the way though?

Sorry to moan just feeling a bit low with it all.  :-\

Oh no Jethro, sounds like he's been in the wars this week. I didn't notice Charlie being down when he wad loosing his teeth. I'd keep an extra eye on him tomorrow and go to the vets if you aren't sure he's ok, the last thing you want is an ill puppy and out of hours vet prices!

down doesn't describe it!

Poor Pearl lost all her baby teeth and gained her adult ones in the space of a week :016:  she was really out of sorts with an upset tum just the same as a baby teething.  Plus the most awful breath which turned out to be an infection in her gums - several days of antibiotics later [small vet bill] she was right as reign plus no more cockerdile - Yeh :D

Hope Jethro feels better soon - best to get to the vets to put your mind at rest.....

Could be his teeth , Riley 20 weeks has lost 5 this week already, the canine ones and the large pre molars at the back, he literally spat one out on a walk the other day, his breath is a bit off too.
I would take him to the vet for peace of mind and a quick check over.
Hope Jethro feels better soon.

Sorry to hear Jethro is feeling below par :(

Bingley's mood definitely changed while he was teething. There was a period of a week or two when he was really clingy, moany and just unsettled. We had some problems at night time and he just couldn't seem to relax. Does he have plenty of things to chew on? Damp flannels in the freezer perked him up a fair bit, and at night time he would fall asleep gnawing on a nice big rawhide.

his tum seems to be on the mend today (on chicken &rice) & hes eating & drinking fine still. I think it must be his teeth one fell out in OH hand last night. Looking at them he seems to have a good 10 coming though & lost quite a few this week. hes got plenty to chew, think ill try frozen flannels.

jethro apparently would like to add: ghertuo,mgrdcvbnm,766gvnmi4tgbnjlv were having a mad 1/2 hour!  :005:

Ahhh poor Jethro.

It sounds like him teething and the change in his routine if you have been away has upset him a little, I know Willow is a real creature of habit and likes her own home comforts.

The wall of death is always a sign they are on the mend  :005:
