Title: Bad skin

[iCan anybody please help? my field cocker has really bad scabby skin and won`t stop scratching and licking and wearing herself out.
Also what is the best food for her?

Awww Hun my rainbow girl Poppy got this and the vet just kept giving her antibiotics  >:( I thought that this can't be good for her so I changed her food to a more organic one called The natural dog food and slowly her skin started to recover. What are you feeding your  dog now ??  x x x

I've had an ongoing skin problem with my cocker - to be fair it could be a number of issues, from food to allergies.  It turns out mine has a yeast infection, his skin was quite scaley/scabby.  He has had anti b's, plus an anti fungal shampoo plus anti fungal meds. 

He is fed on Burns & has been on his anti fungal meds for nearly a month the itching whilst it is still there is much less and I think (crossing everything here)  we are finally getting to the bottom of it  ;)

Be prepared for numerous vet visits before you get a diagnosis - because often it is hit and miss.  Good luck

I had amazing results with Dermacton when my golden Cocker had skin problems. It is steroid free and if you look at the reviews many people swear by it. MIght be worth a try.

She might have an allergy and it could well be the food she's on. My vet advised a change to a better quality food (Burns in our case) and within a few months the itching had entirely stopped for my springer.

The reviews and the 'before and after photos' are amazing.  I bought some of the spray and tried it on Charlie, but he yelped like mad (very unlike him) so it mustnt have agreed with him - I had bought two lots of it as well  >:( >:(
