having had an enjoyable walk in hailey Park on the weekend where we blackberried bumped into and chatted to Penny B and walked Hector. I went back there today in search of more blackberries.
Poor old Hector was bitten on the nose by a wire haired small dog (looked like a cross between a terrier and another dog). Hector's muzzle was covered in blood !
I went to speak to the owner who denied it was her dog (we hadn't met any other dogs and I saw her dog go for Hector). She then said it couldn't be her dog as he was smaller than Hector and he had no blood on him! She was really abusive told me to F*** off wouldn't give me her name and accused me of overeacting at this point as we were talking her dog tried to attack Hector again.
I am fuming - she was so horrible and completely irresponsible. She was around early 30s v slim, brown hair and had 2 mixed breed smaller wire haired dogs.
So anyone with any ideas as to her identity let me know as i want to send the at least £50 vets bill to her
Sorry had to let off steam really really angry and upset about this and poor old hector's nose is very sore!

Hope Hector is OK

I can understand why you are so upset! It's horrible when things like that happen but to then be faced with such an awful response makes it so much worse >:(
You should contact the local dog warden and give her the description as they may know who she is. When charlie was attacked by a local great dane the DW went to the owners house to talk to them.

The nose is very sensitive I suppose!

What a shame poor both of you, it's bad enough that it has happened without having to encounter such a horrible owner. Hope he okay :luv:

Thats awful and what a horrible woman.
Poor Hector (brilliant name btw) i really hope his nose is ok.
Makse me so mad!
-
Awe poor wee Hector. Hope his nose heals ok. You must have got a terrible fright.
There are a lot of rude irresponsible people out there >:D
-
Thanks all
Hector is OK and will be on anti bs for a few days.
Spoken to the dog warden as well (thanks for reminding me of this Sarah H) and logged it.
based on the way this women reacted I would be very surprised if this has not happened before. Wish I had the presence of mind to snap her on my mobile
Just pretty pissed off that's all and fuming from the abuse and lies - first of all she said it was a scratch, then she denied it was her dog because he had no blood on him then she told me to get a doll because I was upset that her dog had bitten a 1 inch chunk out of his nose skin >:D >:D >:D >:D
-
I would be fuming too! And to be patronised like that as well. Im amazed you remained so collected. >:D

:bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:to Hector and yourself. Hope Hector recovers soon.

So sorry this happened to poor Hector. I hate reading about these attacks. :'(
I also can't understand people who deny it was their dog. I would be so horrified if it were one of mine who did it, and would certainly want to help(financially) with the vet bill. It is the least anyone can do.
Hope Hector recovers soon. Sending him and you cyber hugs. Xxxx

Poor you and poor Hetor. Hope his nose is OK.
Her behaviour was outrageous. There is no excuse for it, but I can't help wondering if people are now so worried that their dog may get labelled as dangerous and then taken away and put on death row, that they are afraid to do the right thing and accept responsibility.

So sorry your boy got bitten and you had to deal with such an abusive woman! Hope he feels better and heals up quickly.

Really sorry to see this - hope Hector is OK. We go to Hailey Park most days - don't think I've seen this woman and her dogs but will definately keep a look out now
