Hi
Maisie was diagnosed with EPI about 4 years ago and has been doing really well on Tryplase capsules. I went to my vet yesterday to collect her order, but was told that they hadn't had any in from their supplier yet >:(. I wasn't too worried as it can be ordered from most online pet pharmacies. But a when I started looking around I discovered it is a long term manufactureres problem and some places are saying stock wont be available until December :o
So, does anyone have any suggestions to alternatives?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
My Rosie has E.P.I. she is a rescue cocker we have had her 3yrs now.
I buy Pancreatic enzyme for cats and dogs (Pfizer) 250g it is a white to buff colour powder.
Rosie has 1/2 teaspoon on her dinner & she is really well now.
I buy it at Petdrugs online cost about £59ish for that 250g tub.
Hope that helps? it keeps ok for a year or so!

Not sure if this will be much help but if all else fails one can add raw pancreas to their food and they can get the enzymes that way :)

I don't know anything about this illness, but surely the vet should supply you with an alternative if her usual medication can't be obtained. There must be another make of drug, or a generic version which does the same job?

Not sure how OH would feel about raw pancreas :005: but useful to know.

I'm not sure they realised the extent of the delays when I visited :-\, but I have also asked them to look into alternatives.
Thanks everyone :luv:
