First trip to the groomers
« on: February 09, 2013, 09:43:57 PM »
And Rufus did so well, we are so proud of him. Rufus is very nervous of anybody except those who share his home with him, he very rarely goes near people that he has never met before.
We were recommended a lovely groomer by our dog trainer who shows dogs etc for their owners. Well, he was taking treats out of her hand after 5 mins (unheard off before) and he let her trim his paws, clip his nails and tidy up his face\head and ears as well as hand stripping part of his back. He was a little nervous and shaky to begin with but soon settled and eventually looked like he was going to go to sleep at one stage :luv:
He's going back next week to have some more hand stripping done and his feathers tidied up.

A few weeks ago we didn't think that due to his nervousness we would ever be able to get him groomed proffesionally.
