Coughing/Gagging?
« on: February 17, 2013, 08:55:55 PM »
Over the last few months Piper has had episodes of coughing/gagging (sounds and looks like KC but isn't) a couple of times a day and then it goes for a few day and then comes back for a few days. She has also started snoring very loudly and after drinking she is burping (or gagging, not sure?) She seems very happy in herself and no other issues. She does lick her legs and chest and I wondered about the possibility of hair balls but I wasn't sure if dogs could get those  :-\

My brothers's dog has something called tracheal collapse which causes him to cough. He is very old though, well over 15. It might be worth googling it and seeing what you think.

Not sure what the symptoms of lungworm are but a pup we know has it and apparently there is a fair bit of it around at the moment.
