really low pain threshold
« on: November 07, 2014, 08:59:42 PM »
has anyone elses cocker got a really low pain threshold.  my girl is 20 months now and has always had a low pain threshold, I thought she would grow out of it but hasn't.  she squeals at the slightest knock or if she stands on something like a prickly stick.  she is fit and healthy.  thanks.

Ellie is 10 now but she has always been the same.  The loudness of her scream when she has just trod on a rough stone has to be heard to be believed.  She also cannot bear anything being stuck to her.  She frequently stops abruptly and when you check her all she has is a blade of grass stuck to her leg!

This thread is making me giggle, so unlike Henry who trashes thru the woods with twigs stuck everywhere!  He doesn't notice a thing! Hugs to the more delicate of the breed  :bigarmhug:

I had to reply as I was giggling too.  :005: Rowan is the same and she even squeals when she nearly does something eg a dog approaching (you'd think she'd been mauled), she hates the rain so is only our in it if it starts after we're out. She's got poor eyesight, so if she hasn't seen a puddle and steps in it she squeals but doesn't have the brains to walk out - we have to lift her  ph34r . God forbid anything sticks to her - squealing followed by sitting down refusing to move and continued squealing. She's often found round our feet in the kitchen (ever hopeful), and if we come near to or actually trip over her, it sounds like she's been murdered. Got to love them.  :luv:
