Lego man for a meal!

Well hunter the other day thought it would be a great idea to swallow a whole lego man. despited trying to get it out of his mouth, he still managed to get it down in 1, didn't even try to break it up. I called the vet to ask what to do and if it will pass as he is only 16 weeks. He did think it would if it managed to fall apart. Still no sign of it in the garden or on walks, and we are a good few days in. He is regular, and seems well within himself and he hasn't brought it back up. should I start getting worried, I mean he did mention surgery to remove it but he is fine and don't really want to take him to the vet if he is perfectly alright. How long should I leave it? Totally confused. I will also add, I watched it go down so it was not my imagination. Sounds funny tho, my dog ate Han solo!

Little rascal, Cotto ate a large plastic screw off the bath panel ( I couldnt believe it but like you I saw it go down). It took at least 3 full days for it pass thank goodness. I hope it passes through soon for your pup..

What a worry. Is there any chance you might have missed it when it came out? I'm wondering if it might be worth talking to the vet again. Maybe an x-Ray would be possible, just to confirm if Han is still in there?

Our first cocker ate acorns and my daughters dummy. Each time she would retch at night. The vet said she was trying to bring them up but couldn't.  An X ray showed the dummy clearly. At least then you would know.

Pearl ate a bit of corn cob age 15 weeks - it didn't help that she'd also eaten twigs, grass, string and part of the cats sheepskin rug at the same time....needless to say she passed 4 bits but the 5th got stuck.

If I remember correctly, the offending item was consumed on the Saturday, she was fine until the Tuesday when she was sick and the diawotsits started.  Took her to the vet who agreed it was stuck but to give it another day to appear.  She went in on the Thursday and had it surgically removed.

Cockers are notorious for eating things.  You need eyes in the back of your head! I wouldn't mind but she ate part of a corn cob in August this year - age 3.5 years - 1 night in the vet hospital and it made an appearance  ;)

Hope Hunter is ok x

My lovely Charlie Brown ate a corn cob too, nice removal bill followed. The vet said his brothers dog had also had to have one removed.
They must be delicious  >:(

Hopefully it will come out then you can say the even funnier my dog pooped Han Solo

Let us know what happens. Ziggy eating lego is one of my main fears. My son is 6 and we had lego everywhere. Have removed it from all the rooms Ziggy goes into for now, but keeping him away from lego forever seems impossible. He did get hold of two Moshi Monster moshlings this weekend, but luckily I fished them out before he could swallow them. Children and cockers seem to be a bad mix in terms of what they leave around that can get eaten.

Well it has been around a week and well Han decided to make an appearance! Just as well as hunter was about to do to the vet for an x-ray. I'm sad to say Han didn't make it in one piece, poor thing was in pieces and missing a hand and is now in his new home the bin bag! As for Hunter, he has been extremely perky as he has been the whole time and passing it must have been pretty painless and all the other half can say is "thank god, cant afford an op for the dog with Xmas and 3 kids".
At least all is well.

Run free Han. I guess a cocker tummy is a tougher thing to cope with than being frozen in carbonite.
