He was a bit up and down for a couple of weeks. The pancreatitis seems to have cleared up now. I have dropped the Hills I/d diet. The kibble drove him mad with scratching he was pulling his fur out, piles of it all over the house. I checked on AllAboutDog Food, the ingredients are rubbish. I had got some tins of it, they weren't so bad, but have now put him back on his usual, food, which is a good quality wet food, and also a little kibble. The fat content is only marginally higher than Hills, but the ingredients are very good.
The lymph glands had gone down, yay! So that is promising, hopefully the brain tumour was just a rumour!
He had a blood test on Friday for the fits, to check the Epiphen. That came back as really low, so it is not having much effect. It needs to be increased, but the tablets are so tiny they can't be broken (needs to increase from 1.0 to 1.25). So the vet has ordered some liquid Epiphen which will be accurate to administer (twice the price of the tabs). Once he's been on that for 2 weeks another blood test to check its effect on the liver.
He's a lot quieter than he was, and sleeps a lot more, all this has knocked the stuffing out of him, and walks are more sedate and shorter. Age gets us all??.
Love to Humph.
Enjoying all the lovely dogs at Crufts, a beacon of joy in a mad world.
