Glad Lucy is back to normal!

How about tripe sticks - Coco loves them and they are probably a bit more manageable than a piggy ear! Bit stinky though so I only give her them outside  :P  Also, pizzles are good - they take much longer to chew than pigs ears and apparently aren't so fatty. Otherwise, I have just started a packet of Burns Kelties - they are a sort of biscuity thingy - Coco seems very taken with them and they smell quite pleasant too!  ;)  She also has those hide chews or a stuffed kong for when I really do not want to have a stinky mess!  :005:

yes it was a whole pigs ear - she buries them in the lawn  >:( then digs them up a week later and trails dirt all around the house - we won't be missing them!

I'm still surprised that a pigs ear could have so much of an effect on her, she has had at least 10 of them in the past ,but the vet was very quick to identify it as the likely culprit.

She has had and enjoyed carrots in the past so that would be a possibility, she has also had tripe sticks but they smell worse than lippy's feet! :o so we wont go there, have to look out for the burns thingys, pork strips and maybe the odd doggy sausage as a special treat.

I'm so pleased she is better.

Pizzles are very good, honestly. But I can understand why you might not want to go there! ;)

Sorry to hear that Lucy has been unwell, but my cocker had something similar a couple of months ago, he was violently sick and sliding down on to his front paws and in a lot of pain so took him straight to the vet who at first said it was pancreatits, took a blood test and the problem was his liver, he ended up staying at the vets over night to have his liver flushed my vet said it was something he had ingested, but have no idea what, the young dog two doors up from us also had a similar thing and the same diagnosis from a different vet.  Both have made a full recovery and I'm sure Lucy will too, but it is very distressing when they aren't well. :embarassed: :-*
