When can you properly start to train puppies

We are getting our little girl in 9 days, soooo excited.  I have been reading lots of books and reading all the  COL topics but they dont really say when you can actually start properly training them.

I am interested in using clicker training or maybe a whistle for outside but i dont know when to start.

Any advice would be appreciated

I would say as soon as possible.
I've had Dyllan 5 months and each day i realise he benefits form more and more training.
Make sure you get lots of sleep.

From day 1.

Get yourself a copy of The Perfect Puppy by Gwen Bailey. Make that your bedtime reading for the next week and you'll be well clued up on what to do

You do need to know how much is reasonable - but you start from the off, training to go wees and poos, sit, wait etc and build up from there.
