Rudi - Golden Cocker boy - Bridgend Dog's Trust
« on: April 16, 2007, 03:08:51 PM »
5 Year old boy at Dog's Trust, Bridgend

Here's what the site says about him...

Likes and dislikes:  Rudi was brought into the Centre in a terrible condition.  His coat was dirty and matted and he was very sensitive to being handled.  He is now is excellent condition and is much happier in himself but he still needs careful and sensible handling.  He is a strong minded little chap who likes to have his own way.  He’ll need clear ground rules in the home as he may try to take advantage given the chance!  He gets on well with other dogs; he’s lively and very entertaining.

Type of home needed:  He’ll need an experienced owner with a confident and no nonsense attitude.   He is suitable with adults only.  He can live with other dogs but we are not sure if he gets on with cats.

very rarely do I say 'if only' on the Rescue Threads

BUT if only OH would let me have another  ::)

if he'll take a mile when given an inch he'll get on famously with my golden boy.

Really hope he finds a home soon.

Thats a shame as he is lovely  :luv: . Whats the policy on rescue dogs? are they allowed to be rehomed as workers?

It depends on the rescue. With Tilly they specifically wanted her to go to a working home as she was already trained as a working dog but some rescues are dead against dogs doing anything which involves other animals being harmed or killed and won't rehome them to working homes. I'm not sure what the DT policy on this is.
