Millie wont settle after being spayed

Had Millie spayed on Friday afternoon and ever since she has been unsettled. Now she is whining a lot and also rubbing her underside along anything she can. We understand that she is going to be in pain, as she has just had the equivalent of a hysterectomy for a human. We just feel like we cant do anything for her and feel very helpless  . Does anyone know what we can expect and also if there is anything that we can give her?

I wouldn't hesitate to ring the vet for any concerns after surgery of any kind    (I'm very bold and pushy when it comes to my babies  )

Fern wasn't herself for a few days, but I would phone the vet tomorrow and speak and maybe take Millie in to get her checked out - just to be on the safe side

We gave our dogs Metacam for the first 24 hours But if she is whining alot would speak to the vet

if shes also rubbing it alot it might be infected definitely worth a visit to the vets hope she's ok.

thanks everyone for there advice has helped us loads but millie has come out the other side now and is a lot happier and more like her old self again so thanks again
